1. About Janut and these Terms
Janut ("the platform," "we") lets creators ("sellers") open a digital store and sell digital files (such as PDFs, video, audio and templates) to buyers. Janut is not a party to the sale itself between seller and buyer; we provide the technology: hosting the store, delivering files, and routing payment directly to the seller's own payment account. These Terms apply to anyone browsing, opening a store, or making a purchase through Janut.
2. Using an account
Opening an account (as a seller, or as a buyer who signs in) requires accurate, up-to-date details. You're responsible for keeping your account access secure. Janut is intended for people who have legal capacity to contract under Israeli law; minors require a parent's or guardian's consent.
3. Seller responsibilities
Sellers are fully responsible for the content they upload and sell, including its copyright and other rights, and for complying with all law that applies to them, including registering as a business with the Israeli Tax Authority where required, and paying tax as due. Illegal, infringing, or fraudulent content is strictly prohibited and may be removed without notice. As a condition of actually selling, every store must set a support email and a clear refund policy. Janut blocks sales from a store that hasn't.
4. Purchases and delivery
Every purchase is a direct transaction between buyer and seller; Janut is only the technical intermediary. Digital products are delivered immediately once payment is confirmed; an access link is emailed to the buyer and also appears under "My purchases" on the site.
5. Payments
Payments are processed through a connected payment provider (Cardcom) in each seller's own payment account; funds go directly to the seller, and Janut never holds, sees, or stores your card details at any point. Janut charges its own fee for using the platform (pricing to be published); beyond that, you only pay the payment provider's standard processing fee.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Under Section 14C of the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, the general 14-day cancellation right generally does not apply to transactions for information or digital content that has been delivered or played directly (as defined by law), so completed purchases where access to the content has been granted are final, unless stated otherwise. Each store sets and publishes its own refund policy (no refunds / 7-day refund / contact the seller) on that store's policy & contact page. That policy governs purchases from that store. Janut is not a party to refund requests and does not process them itself.
7. Intellectual property
Sellers keep all rights in the content they upload, and represent that they hold the rights needed to sell it. By uploading content, a seller grants Janut a license to store, display, and deliver it as part of operating the service. A buyer who purchases a product receives a personal-use license only, on the terms the seller sets, and does not acquire ownership of the underlying copyright. The Janut brand, logo, and platform itself are Janut's own property.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is." Janut is not responsible for the quality, legality, or reliability of content that sellers upload, and is not a party to a dispute between a buyer and a seller. To the extent the law allows, Janut's liability to you is limited to direct damages only and will not exceed the amount you paid Janut (if any) in the three months before the event; Janut is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under law (including mandatory consumer-protection rights).
9. Suspension and termination
Janut may suspend or close an account, store, or product that violates these Terms, the law, or undermines trust in the platform, with advance notice where possible, and without notice in urgent cases. A seller may close their store at any time; purchases already made will remain accessible to the buyers who made them.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the courts of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.
