Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Janut is a digital marketplace used by buyers and sellers across Israel, and we treat accessibility as a core value. We aim to meet the requirements of Israeli Standard 5568 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This statement is based on self-testing and automated checks carried out during development, not (yet) on a certified external accessibility audit.

What we've done

Semantic HTML and page landmarks · full keyboard navigation, with no keyboard traps · visible focus indicators on every interactive element · labeled form fields with errors announced to screen readers · text and buttons checked for color contrast · Hebrew and English with correct RTL/LTR text direction · animations that respect your system's "reduce motion" setting.

Known limitations

Some content on Janut (product files, descriptions, preview videos and audio) is uploaded directly by individual sellers. We can't guarantee that every seller-uploaded video has captions, every PDF is tagged for screen readers, or every audio file has a transcript. We're working with sellers to improve this over time.

Legal status and accessibility coordinator

Janut is currently at an early stage of operation. To the extent the business is exempt from the full duties under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013 due to its scale, we still treat accessibility as a commitment rather than an exemption, and we'll update this status and appoint a formal accessibility coordinator as required once our activity grows. Compatibility

This site is built to work with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, together with screen readers such as VoiceOver and NVDA.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. We review and improve the site on a rolling basis.
